Ballinkeele House
 Ballinkeele House, bordering on the village of Ballymurn, is an ideal location, where the traveller can slow down, relax, recharge his whole being and also see a beautiful lesser known part of Ireland.
Ballinkeele is an elegant and gracious Country Home. We are not a Hotel or a Country Inn but rather a family home offering guests the opportunity to stay and enjoy the hospitality of a more gentler age.
The Maher family has been farming Ballinkeele since 1808. The Estate was bought in 1825 and the present house built in 1840.
Ballinkeele is ideally situated for visiting a wide range of historic and archaeological sites and gardens. Kilkenny, Waterford, the Wicklow Mountains and Dublin are all within easy reach and there are six golf courses within one hour’s drive, and riding stables just 30 minutes drive. One of John and Margaret’s large breakfasts will set you up for a day of exploration or for your special activity be it fishing, golf, riding or walking.
