Cork Business Association
Cork Business Association is a registered company with its administration office at No. 6 Winthrop Street, Cork. The mission of the CBA is the promotion of Cork as the premier city of the south, encouraging further development of Cork and ensuring that it remains the premier retail and business centre for the south of Ireland. The association continues to be the voice of city centre businesses, promoting their interests at local and national level and promoting the city as a commercial and tourist destination.
The association will continue to work closely with Cork Corporation to improve the infrastructure, cleanliness and up-keep of the city centre, liaise with an Garda Siochána on security and crime and continue to be represented and work with other interested bodies for the general improvement and promotion of the city.
Structure
The CBA has two hundred members who represent all sections of the business community. The Executive is made up of seventeen members and includes the Chairpersons of six sub-committees (Environment, Security, Membership, Finance, Social, Newsletter), who meet jointly and separately every six weeks. The Executive Committee Meetings are attended by the City Manager, the Chief Executive of Cork Chamber of Commerce and the Cork City Coordinator.
