Our Community
Southern Health Board
 As one of the eight health boards in the country, the Southern Health Board is under the auspices of the Department of Health and Children and ultimately the Minister for Health and Children.
The day to day management of the Southern Health Board is carried out by the management team which is comprised of ten members.
Cheif Executive Officer
Mr. Seán Hurley the Chief Executive Officer, implements the policy of the Board. In addition, the CEO has statutory responsibility to determine the eligibility of individuals for health services, and for the appointment, supervision and remuneration of staff.

The service is divided into three programmes, each of which is managed by a Programme/ General Manager:
